There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.

Wildfire Relief Grant Program

The Almanor Foundation Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund supports the rebuilding and revitalization of communities throughout our region impacted by wildfire.

The Dixie Fire had burned 963,195 acres as of Sept. 22, 2021. 1329 structures have been destroyed of which 744 were homes.  Disasters have been declared across 4 Counties: Plumas, Lassen, Tehama and Shasta.

The Almanor Foundation works collaboratively with other funding partners to provide relief and recovery grants to benefit the people, businesses and communities that have been affected by this fire.

Who We Are

What We Do

How We're Different

The purpose of The Almanor Foundation is to be the catalyst that inspires ideas, sparks action and connects members of the community with funding and resources for growth, and an equitable, healthy, and rewarding quality of life for the greater community.  The Foundation will actively seek, support and create opportunities in order to fulfill this mission and vision.
We serve our local families, youth and organizations through grants and philanthropic projects.  We offer Community Philanthropists the perfect vehicle for their charitable donations and create opportunities for community members who desire to share their time, financial support or expertise with a focused plan for their generosity.  Those folks with a need to connect with others are able to find a one-stop resource with us.
Many service organizations exist to serve particular community needs. The Almanor Foundation serves as a resource for these service organizations as well as a catalyst for community action. Our goal is to serve providers, as well as those who have yet to be formed, addressing community challenges as they occur and connecting those with need with the resources that will empower them to succeed.
